Technique

Imarco always ensures techniques are mastered in full. This includes techniques relating to the floor beneath the tiles. Imarco has a wealth of knowledge about screed floors, monolithic cement floors, anhydrite floors and rough concrete floors. Time and again, we introduce time-saving innovations. Here at Imarco, we are fully aware that every day a project isn't operational costs money. You can be sure that Imarco has the best possible lead time for your project. We have mastered every available flooring technique to this end. We understand that a machine workshop floor involves other requirements than supermarket flooring.

“Mastering technique”

‘Rüttel’ technique

The ‘rüttel’ (vibration) technique is a unique way of tiling used especially in the industrial sector for tiled floors. Ceramic floor tiles are laid in morter in an offset pattern, then mechanically levelled and compacted. This provides a combination of quick work and a very robust flat tile floor. The shape of the tile is irrelevant; it can be quadrangular or hexagonal.

‘Rüttel’ floors have a number of advantages leading to their widespread adoption in the industrial sector. They manage to combine a high mechanical load-bearing capacity with excellent resistance to point loads. Thanks to the vibration method, the tile floor is extremely flat and the seam pattern very regular. This gives a ‘rüttel’ floor an attractive optical finish and makes it easy to keep clean. Depending on the type of tiles, the close-knit structure provides great chemical resistance and optimum hygiene.

Sound insulation

Good tile floors are durable thanks to their degree of hardness. However, this prized quality is a drawback when it comes to noise nuisance and contact sound. Such contact sound can be effectively muffled by creating a subfloor layer comprising a cushioning layer over which a concrete floating floor is poured. Of course, Imarco is able to provide this service. The materials we use for this include RECANOR 120/5, a CFC and HCFC-free closed-cell polypropylene foam material. With a single layer, this can cause noise reduction of up to 14 dBa. This is well over four times less contact sound than a floor constructed without RECANOR.
